Vehicles that continue receiving power from the cigarette lighter plug after the engine has been switched off are referred to as normally powered vehicles. This problem occurs when the cigarette lighter plug supplies power to the dash cam on a normally powered vehicle, and the 'Auto OFF after stop' feature is disabled in the dash cam setting.This problem can be resolved by enabling the 'Auto OFF after stop' function (5/10/20 minutes of continuous inactivity is optional.

Otherwise, after the vehicle ignition is switched off, the dash cam will continue to work in the 'power on' state and record a normal continuous video, which causes the dash cam to drain the car battery in a short amount of time and prevent the vehicle from starting.Please set the 'Auto OFF after stop' function according to the specific conditions of the vehicle:If the vehicle is normally powered and the dash cam is powered by the cigarette lighter plug, the 'Auto OFF after stop' feature must be enabled along with a reasonable stop time. Note: Fuel-powered or hybrid vehicles are usually considered normally powered vehicles, but if a pure electric vehicle model still receives power from its cigarette lighter plug after it has been turned off, and the battery depletes in an unexpected manner, then those vehicles are also considered normally powered. Please consult the OEMs, dealers, after-sales service providers for clarification.If the vehicle is normally powered, but the dash cam is powered by the official 70mai Parking Surveillance Cable, the 'Auto OFF after stop' function will not be required. After the vehicle is turned off, the dash cam will shut down or perform the parking surveillance function, so if the parking surveillance cable is properly installed and the ACC ON/OFF signal is obtained, the 'Auto OFF after stop' function will be automatically blocked by the dash cam.Please take note of the following:a. After enabling the function of “auto OFF after stop” for a vehicle that is normally powered, you will need to manually press the power button to turn on the dash cam the next time you use it.b. If your vehicle is not normally powered or if you use the parking surveillance cable to supply power to the dash cam, it is better to turn off the 'Auto OFF after stop' function (select 'No Auto OFF'), so as to prevent the dash cam from shutting down accidentally while the vehicle is idling.

This dash cam model requires a power supply with 5V/1.5A input, and it is recommended to use an official 70mai power supply accessories. If you prefer using a third-party power supply accessory, please make sure to opt for an accessory with power supply specifications that meet the requirements and comply with national safety regulations.

It may be due to the following reasons:1. This dash cam is equipped with a self-protection function that prevents the device from powering on when excessively high ambient temperature is detected. In such situations, please wait for it to cool down to normal temperature before use.2. Please check whether the car charger and power cord are abnormal.3. After enabling the function of “Auto OFF after stop” for a vehicle that is normally powered or with delayed power off, you will need to manually press the power button to turn on the dash cam the next time you use it.4. The “Auto OFF after stop” feature cannot be enabled when the 70mai Parking Surveillance Cable has been installed.
